Downtown Dallas and Farmers Market commuters and lunch-time visitors should prepare for multiple road closures Tuesday morning and afternoon.
The Dallas Police Department will host its annual memorial ceremony near City Hall. According to the city, road closures for the following streets will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The City Hall garage will be closed to the public and only available to city employees.
The memorial ceremony will included a 21-gun salute and a flyover by the department’s Air1 helicopter unit, according to Corbin Rubinson, senior information officer for DPD. The use of amplified sound equipment and ceremonial gunfire may cause sporadic throughout the City Hall district.
The memorial service starts with a march from the Dallas Convention Center to the Dallas Police Memorial.
