LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Police are investigating an overnight shooting in north Lubbock that left two people dead.
Just after 2:30 a.m., officers initially responded to the 2100 block of North Avenue J for reports of a suicide.
Upon arrival, officers found 38-year-old Christopher Robertson and 25-year-old Riley Moorhead with gunshot wounds.
Robertson died at the scene. Moorhead was taken to UMC where he later died.
Investigators say it appears Robertson was already at the location when Moorhead arrived at which time he shot Roberson before shooting himself.
The incident remains under investigation.
