All southbound lanes of I-35E at Loop 12 were shut down due to a major accident Tuesday morning

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

DALLAS — All southbound lanes of Interstate 35E at Loop 12 were shut down due to a major crash early Tuesday, officials say. 

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). 

Traffic was forced to exit southbound at Walton Walker Boulevard. All lanes were reopened within 45 minutes.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
