ARLINGTON, TX — The UT Arlington volleyball team continues its trip out west, traveling from Utah to Riverside, California to face the California Baptist tomorrow, Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. CT.
MATCH NOTES
Following Thursday’s loss to Utah Valley, the Mavericks now hold a 9-7 overall mark and drop to a 1-3 record in conference play.
The Mavs have collected four WAC weekly awards this season in Samantha Glenn earning WAC Libero of the Week (Sep 16, Sep 30) and Mira Ledermueller being named WAC Setter of the Week (Sep 2, Sep 30).
Currently, the Mavericks lead the Western Athletic Conference in aces per set (2.26), team digs (962), and team service aces (154).
UT Arlington also ranks in the conference’s top three in six other categories – digs per set (No. 2, 14.15), match W-L percentage (No. 2, .563), opponent hitting percentage (No. 2, .168), team assists (No. 2, 722), team kills (No. 2, 784) and team total attacks (No. 2, 2,305).
UTA remains at No. 1 in the NCAA for team services aces (154).
In addition to this, the Mavs are ranked No. 4 in the country in aces per set.
Glenn currently leads the WAC in two categories: digs per set (4.28) and total digs (291).
Ledermueller ranks second in two WAC categories: assists per set (8.55) and total assists (564).
Alexis Bull leads the conference in service aces (30) aces per set (0.48).
Jalie Tritt ranks third in the conference in aces per set (.40), points (241.5), service aces (26) and in total attacks (595).
Four mavericks land in the top-five in the WAC for service aces: Alondra Hernandez (T-No. 4), Tritt (No. 3), Bull (No. 1) and Ledermueller (T-No.4).
