Lubbock police warn of scam targeting residents with fake court citations

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Police Department is warning residents about a scam involving fake citations.

The scam involves sending emails and text messages about citations while pretending to be the City of Lubbock’s Municipal Court.

LPD reminds residents that the municipal court does not send text messages or emails trying to get people to pay.

Police say do not click on the links.
