AT&T is revealing new details about its proposed world headquarters in Plano, including plans for a 280-foot “iconic tower” that could become a defining feature of the development.
The project spans 54 acres and includes 2.3 million square feet of office space.
While still in the design phase and roughly two years away from moving employees in, the development is already gaining attention, particularly for a building some describe as a “mini Reunion Tower.”
AT&T CEO John Stankey said the company envisions a campus that reaches beyond its footprint and benefits the surrounding area.

Pearce Hughes said the first impression looked great and that it could enhance the area. Mason Murray said he liked the tower’s modern design.
“I mean, I think it’s a cool concept,” Tasha Hubbard said. “I mean, I think it’s going to add to the area.”
Plano’s zoning commission unanimously approved four items related to the project on Monday, moving it one step closer to reality. The Plano City Council is expected to vote on zoning approval on May 26.
If approved by the City Council, the zoning changes would clear the way for AT&T’s vision to move forward.
