Police Car (KPRC/Click2Houston.com)
HOUSTON – There is a heavy police presence at a HEB grocery store in the Uptown area after reports of a suspicious person.
Houston police confirm units have responded after getting multiple calls of a suspicious person at the HEB located at 5895 San Felipe Street. The first call came in at 5:41 p.m.
Eyewitnesses told KPRC 2 there are multiple police units at the scene and several other businesses have locked their doors as a precaution.
We are told employees moved shoppers to the back of the store, but a customer told KPRC 2’s Corley Peel that the shoppers have been allowed to resume their activities. Police still remain in the parking lot.
