The Texas Stock Exchange is eyeing an under-construction tower overlooking Klyde Warren Park to serve as its base of operations.

But key leaders want a few things before they commit.

TXSE representatives told The Dallas Morning News it will file request with the Oak Lawn Committee on Tuesday to put a digital display and stock ticker on Bank of America Tower at Parkside. The high-rise will be Uptown’s tallest tower once it’s finished.

Tuesday’s filing is the first official acknowledgement that the exchange wants to occupy space in the tower — though ads promoting the exchange feature some not-so-subtle inclusions of the building.

The deal is not finalized. Negotiations between TXSE and building owners that include Dallas-based Pacific Elm are ongoing, and the ticker is a key part of the talks.

The ticker will be 28 feet above ground level and be 10 feet tall. The maximum area of the sign would be 2,470 square feet, and it would wrap around the corner of the building. It is consistent with other digital displays in the city. A TXSE spokesperson said the ticker is standard infrastructure for any national stock exchange.

“The display will also give the city a civic landmark on par with the most recognizable financial addresses in the world — a permanent, visible marker of Dallas’ role in the next chapter of American capital markets, and a reminder to the tens of thousands of people who pass by Klyde Warren Park every day that America’s economic center of gravity is shifting to Texas,” TXSE said in a statement.

TXSE was announced in 2024 with more than $100 million in backing from major players like BlackRock, Citadel Securities and Charles Schwab. That figure has grown to $275 million thanks to investments from Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and others.

The Dallas-based exchange received approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission last fall, and it aims to be a competitor to the Big Apple duopoly of the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.

TXSE is currently based out of a headquarters in Dallas’ Knox/Henderson neighborhood but has maintained plans for a headquarters dubbed the Texas Market Center. The headquarters will feature executive offices, a Texas business museum and a broadcast studio for the opening and closing of trading.

Bank of America Tower will be 445 feet upon completion, making it the tallest building in Uptown. The tallest building in the Dallas neighborhood is the 399-foot 23Springs high-rise.

Owners of the building include Pacific Elm Properties, the Miyama family and Sixth Street Capital. Bank of America will serve as the building’s anchor tenant, occupying more than 238,000 square feet on floors 19 through 27.

Construction on the tower is expected to finish in March 2027.

Klyde Warren Park is quickly becoming the nucleus of Dallas’ booming financial scene. Across the park from the tower, JPMorgan Chase expanded its presence at 1900 N. Akard St., bringing its total square footage to 174,000.

Up the street from the parkside tower is the headquarters of Texas Capital Bancshares. The Dallas-based financial services firm wants to install an electronic stock ticker on the 21-story Texas Capital Center high-rise at 2000 McKinney Ave.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is just up the road. Goldman Sachs is nearing completion of its $709 million campus on Field Street next door to Victory Park.
