LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock man has been found guilty of stealing thousands of dollars from a car dealership in 2024.
A jury convicted Joshua Weston on Tuesday of third-degree theft between $30,000 and $150,000. He owned a partial stake in Adobe Auto Sales before the business went south and he resigned from the company.
Prosecutors said he then went to the bank and pulled out money from the company accounts that he did not have a right to.
Weston’s defense attorneys insisted this is a civil matter and not one for a criminal jury.
He will be sentenced Wednesday morning. He faces between two and 10 years in prison.
