EL PASO, Texas (KFOX 14, CBS4) — Pablo Reyes hit a home run and drove in three runs to lead the El Paso Chihuahuas to a 11-10 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers on Wednesday at Southwest University Park.

El Paso moves to 17-18. Tacoma drops to 16-19.

Tacoma jumped out to an early lead, scoring four runs in the first inning. The Rainiers led 6-2 going into the bottom of the fourth inning. However, El Paso rallied off seven runs in the inning to take a 7-6 lead. In the eighth inning, Mariner’s top prospect Colt Emerson hit a go-ahead home run for Tacoma to make it 10-9. In the bottom of the inning, Mason McCoy and Rodolfo Duran drove in two runs to lift the Chihuahuas to the 11-10 victory.

For El Paso, Misael Tamarez was credited with the win, after pitching 2.0 innings. He gave up one earned run.

Reyes was 2 for 5 with the home run and the three RBIs.

Samaad Taylor was 2 for 4 with a home run. Taylor, the PCL Player of the Month for April, also laid down a bunt in the fourth inning. After an error, Taylor rounded all the bases and scored.

For Tacoma, Michael Rucker took the loss. He went 2.0 innings and gave up one earned run.

Emerson was 3 for 5 with the home run.

Brennan Davis was 2 for 4 with a home run.

The Chihuahuas and Rainiers are back at for game three of the six game series on Thursday at 6:35 pm.
