In the forecast for one San Antonio TV meteorologist: parenthood.

News 4 San Antonio and FOX 29’s Joe DeCarlo announced on Instagram that he and his wife, Bria, have officially welcomed their first child, a baby girl. “Alivia May DeCarlo,” he wrote in the post. “Born April 21st, 2026 at 12:45am. Welcome to the world, baby girl! You are so loved!”

Viewers across the Alamo City may have known this update was coming, as DeCarlo had shared in November 2025 that they’d be adding one to their family. At the time, he told MySA, “The outpouring of warm wishes from the San Antonio community has been truly touching, and we feel incredibly blessed to bring her into such a supportive and family-centered community.” He had also previously shared a due date of April 28, which turned out to be only a week off target.

According to the station, “both mom and baby girl are healthy, with Alivia weighing in at eight pounds, one ounce.”

DeCarlo, a Chicago native, has been on air here in San Antonio since 2022, coming from KIII in Corpus Christi and FOX West Texas before that. The husband-and-wife duo studied in the University of Oklahoma’s atmospheric and geographic sciences program, and Bria is a meteorologist at Texas-based Rainmaker Technology Corporation.

MySA reached out for comment, but did not hear back at the time of publication.
