LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is on the scene of a crash in south Lubbock that happened after a chase.
LPD said one of its officers tried to make a traffic stop around 11:30 a.m. near 34th St. and Frankford Ave. The suspect didn’t stop and a chase began.
A DPS chopper was in the air keeping visuals on the car after LPD called off the pursuit. Around 11:45 a.m., the suspect hit someone near 93rd St. and Memphis Ave. and was eventually arrested.
LPD said the person hit by the car is seriously injured.
