PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — A Pflugerville High School student was taken into custody Thursday morning after allegedly bringing a firearm onto a school bus and showing it to other students, district officials said.
An anonymous tip alerted campus administrators to the weapon before classes began, according to a letter sent to families by Principal Jon Bailey.
Pflugerville ISD police officers responded once the bus arrived at campus and located the student. The firearm was found in the student’s possession, and the student was taken into custody before the school day started, Bailey said.

The incident remains under investigation.
