Sames Auto Group proudly presented a $20,000 check to Driscoll Children’s Hospital Thursday at Sames Ford Corpus Christi, marking the conclusion of its inaugural Drive for Smiles campaign.
The donation represents the full achievement of the campaign goal: 2,000 test drives completed across Sames locations during April.
Through the Drive for Smiles initiative, every test drive generated a $10 donation to Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
Customers and community members across Laredo, Corpus Christi, McAllen and Harlingen showed support throughout the month, helping Sames Auto Group reach its goal and make a meaningful impact on children’s health care in South Texas.
“We are thrilled to have reached our goal and to contribute $20,000 to support the incredible work being done by Driscoll Children’s Hospital,” said Ryan Cain, General Manager of Sames Ford Corpus Christi. “This campaign is proof of what we can accomplish when businesses and communities come together for a greater cause.”
The check presentation brought together representatives from Sames Auto Group and Driscoll Children’s Hospital to celebrate the campaign’s success and the community support that made it possible. The event included remarks from leadership, photo opportunities and a shared moment of pride in community collaboration.
“This campaign reflects what is possible when communities come together with a shared purpose,” said Jason Geiken, Vice President of Development for Driscoll Children’s Hospital. “Across South Texas, individuals and families showed up in support of children’s health care. We are grateful for Sames Auto Group’s leadership and commitment to giving back.
“These funds will support the Sames Auto Group Critical Care Endowment, which helps sustain Driscoll’s 24/7 Critical Care Transport Team. This team provides mobile ICU capabilities across the region, delivering specialized care during transport and helping critically ill children access the care they need when they need it most. We look forward to our continued partnership. Together, we heal.”
Driscoll Children’s Hospital serves children across more than 30 counties in South Texas. Its Critical Care Transport Team provides life-saving transportation services through advanced mobile ICU capabilities, including fixed-wing aircraft transport throughout the continental United States.
