LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Here is a statement from Frenship ISD issued Friday morning:
Late last night, T’nae Harrell, a former Legacy Elementary special education aide, was arrested and charged with voyeurism based on a Frenship Police Department investigation. On May 7, prior to her arrest, Harrell was terminated and is no longer with the district.
On Monday, May 4, Frenship received reports of an incident that allegedly occurred on April 29, 2026. Immediately, Harrell was removed from the classroom and put on leave while our Frenship Police investigated the reports. We contacted the family of the student involved, and once we had more information, we notified all parents who have students in that classroom of the active investigation.
Based on the investigation, Frenship Police presented charges to the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office, and Harrell was arrested late Thursday night and booked into the Lubbock County Jail Friday morning. While we legally cannot discuss the details of the criminal investigation, we felt it was important to let our parents, staff, and community know about the investigation and arrest.
Reported behavior such as this is unacceptable and deeply concerning and goes against everything Frenship ISD stands for. Creating a safe learning environment for all students is our top priority, and we take these investigations very seriously. We have made additional resources available for our students, parents, and staff and will continue to support our families through this difficult time.
