Texas A&M baseball (36-10, 15-8) has another massive SEC showdown this weekend, as the Aggies travel to Oxford, Miss., to face the Ole Miss Rebels (32-17, 12-12), beginning with the series opener on Friday night.

For this weekend’s matchup against the Rebs, Texas A&M head coach Michael Earley decided to switch up the starting pitching rotation. Left-hander Shane Sdao was pulled from the Friday slot for Clemson transfer Ethan Darden. Inconsistent starts from Sdao, including allowing four hits and six earned runs in just one inning pitched against Auburn, led to Earley making the change to Darden. The Rock Hill, S.C., native boasts a 2.88 ERA with 19 strikeouts so far this season.

Additional changes to the lineup include Nico Partida’s absence at third base, due to an injury he suffered in last weekend’s series loss to the Tigers. While the star freshman’s presence will be missed, the Aggies remain third in the conference with a .305 team batting average and 99 total home runs in 2026. Texas A&M’s lineup faces a solid Ole Miss pitching staff, which ranks third in the SEC with 540 strikeouts.

Follow along with live coverage of Texas A&M’s series opener against Ole Miss at Swayze Field below:
