There’s been a Asian market boom in San Antonio. And if the lines outside the likes of Daiso, Miniso or Teso Life on their respective opening days are a success marker, it’s no wonder these national retailers are rushing to expand in the Alamo City. Now, Teso Life shared the latest on their second store opening up in the San Antonio area.
All across San Antonio, shops touting Korean beauty or quirky Asian snack flavors are sprouting up. And locals are eating it up, keeping aisles packed for months after opening day (even if all everyone really wants is an H Mart).
Teso Life is certainly no exception. It’s overwhelming catalogue of mouth-watering edibles, homewares, cutesy stationary and beauty and skincare supplies – or its insane toy and claw machine spread – has been drawing in San Antonio customers for months now. But with so much success in the city, it’s already working hard to get a second spot off the ground.
“We’re still actively working on the store and making great progress,” a Teso Life spokesperson tells MySA. “We are currently planning for an opening toward the middle-end of Q3, so we will share a more confirmed timeline as the date approaches.”
The new digs will call The Forum home, nestled on the southern end of the booming shopping center experiencing a bit of a renaissance. It’ll be in Live Oak, technically, (the shopping center straddles two city limits) but it’s in the Schertz-Live Oak-Selma area.
Sitting next to Target, the site is already well underway. Brightly colored print outs show permits in place and a peek through the tinted windows show the demolition of a prior tenant’s improvements are done. Now, the fun part begins soon, decking the 19,000-squre-foot store with the shiny finishes and orange-branded logos that make Teso Life feel like a store by day and nightclub come sundown.
While the company still hasn’t nailed down an exact opening date, construction is set to wrap up by late June. Plus, company officials says eager shoppers should be ready to splash some cash by mid-August to late September.
Hopefully this new store can alleviate some of the parking woes developed after Teso Life’s first San Antonio opening – a packed spot at University Square at DeZavala that’s left some fans towed unexpectedly.
