The Fort Worth fire arson unit began investigating after the fire was reported Sept. 3 at a house on Williams Street, officials said. While battling the blaze, firefighters Caleb Halvorson and Lt. Troy Gallagher suffered injuries, the release said.

Halvorson underwent multiple surgeries and physical therapy for “extensive injuries and burns” before being released from the hospital on Oct. 6, according to a FWFD Facebook post.

Investigators did not immediately publicly disclose a motive for the incident.
