LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A SWAT team with the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Department in on scene in the 5500 block of Research Boulevard on Saturday night, just south of County Road 6900.

The call came in around 8 p.m. and the scene was still active as of 10:30 p.m.
The caller said they were being threatened by an armed man. Deputies responded and the person accused of making the threats refused to come out and speak with them, prompting a call to the SWAT team.

The public is asked to avoid the area as this is still an active scene as of Saturday night.
