LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A suspect is being treated for serious injuries after threatening another person and being shot by an LPD officer on 38th Street near Indiana Ave. on Sunday afternoon.
Police were originally called to assist a person retrieving property from a residence they were moving out of. An officer arrived at 1:48 p.m.
Police say the remaining resident “pointed a gun at a citizen and that is when the officer fired his department-issued weapon.”
The suspect was taken to UMC with serious injuries. No other injuries have been reported.
Charges are pending.
