Would you drink a pickle smoothie — a beverage that’s the same green color as the nauseated face emoji?
Smoothie King, which is based in Dallas, is launching the surprising, new drink May 12, 2026. The smoothie is a collab with Grillo’s Pickles, and available just in time for summer. The drink is “packed with electrolytes and enhanced hydration,” a news release says.
The collab is “unhinged,” Grillo’s Chief Commercial Officer Mark Luker said in a statement. But also, it allows Grillo’s to “talk about the functional benefits of pickles.” They’re high in Vitamin K, help with digestion and may ease muscle cramps, according to WebMD.
Grillo’s recently released a pickle beer with Pabst Blue Ribbon.
It also posted an Instagram video of pickles pulverized in a blender, calling it “breakfast of champions.” (This lumpy liquid isn’t the Smoothie King final product.) The pickle smoothie is made with Grillo’s pickles, bananas, kale, apple juice blend, kiwi apple juice blend, electrolyte blend and coconut water. Sounds like a puckery punch for pickle people.
Smoothie King’s 20-ounce pickle drinks cost $5.99.
They’re sold at all 1,200 locations nationwide, including those in Dallas-Fort Worth.
