Lubbock High School, one of five high schools in Lubbock Independent School District (Lubbock ISD), has redefined its focus on student achievement. With a long history that predates the Town of Lubbock itself, the historic West Texas institution has evolved with the community and now serves nearly 2,000 students through an array of rigorous academic programs, including International Baccalaureate and AP Capstone diplomas.
When Dr Lyndsey Lucas joined the school three years ago, she saw an opportunity to leverage analytics not just as a compliance tool, but as a strategic driver of instructional excellence.
“We’ve always emphasized achievement,” says Dr. Lucas, Lubbock High’s academic dean. “But growth tells us the deeper story – how students are improving year after year. SAS EVAAS has helped us bring that into focus.”
Now, teachers at Lubbock High School use SAS EVAAS, giving them more insight into each student’s progress across the years and empowering them to tailor instruction and target interventions and enrichment opportunities.
