Not everyone is thrilled about Bravo’s newly announced Texas-based reality series, Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives. The show, revealed Monday, May 11, is set in Boerne, the “underrated” Hill Country town where producers promise the same kind of drama that fuels the network’s Real Housewives franchises, including “intimate relationships and forbidden romances” that will “test loyalties and marriages.”
According to Bravo, the series will follow some of Boerne’s socialites as they “raise families, run ranches and farms and manage social calendars.”

Since the announcement, locals have taken to social media to speculate about who might make up the cast of wealthy, glamorous and faith-driven women.

Boerne reacts to Bravo’s new Texas reality show
Online comments ranged from excitement to disgust to early criticism of the rumored cast.

“I’m seated for this!!” said Boerne resident Destinee Perez. “Watch party at my place when it comes out!”
Others were less enthusiastic.

“Trash TV,” area resident Jeremy Pratt wrote. “None of us moved to Boerne for Hollywood to descend upon us. They have Austin — can’t we just keep it that way?” another resident, Dondi Voigt Persyn, commented beneath a Facebook post.
Some said the show would embarrass the small town, while other comments took on a more sinister tone. “Do not watch this witchcraft 😡,” one Facebook user named Dusty Luke wrote.
Another local, Angela Zappe, said, “I can’t help but think this is an attack by the enemy. We need to start praying.”
Comments have also suggested that the cast may not be a true representatives of the small town.

“Here’s the story: the cast is full of women who are not from here and do not reflect this community,” said Heather Hill, a Boerne local. “No one wants this – just like no one wants the Buc-ees.”

Aaryn Williams
One name circulating is Aaryn Williams, the fifth-generation Texan with a solid online following and who shares daily mom vlogs, workouts and family trips. You may remember her as Aaryn Gries from when she was on Big Brother Season 15. She received backlash over allegations of racist and homophobic remarks while on the show.

Annari
Annari, a South African living in New Braunfels. Her recent Instagram posts show her at Gruene Hall, during Kacey Musgraves’ recent concert; drinking wine, trying a new cosmetic procedure, and “disassociating in the kitchen” while her kiddos “destroy the rest of the house.”
Allison McAnelly
The Boerne influencer has 32,000 Instagram followers.

The social media star and mom of three is based in Boerne.
Gabby Huffman
Based in Austin, according to her social profiles, Gabrielle “Gabby” Huffman is another Texan who’s name has been rumored to be tied to the show.

The Texas-born “girl mom” has also been rumored to be tied to the show. She’s been featured in recent Instagram posts and videos with Aaryn Williams.
Hailey Head
In tagged posts on her new Instagram account, Hailey Head is seen in a video with other rumored cast mates.

Other potential cast members
Emily Miller Reaser, daughter of the “Bill Miller Patriarch;” was named in one comment speculating about the show. Other candidates could be Wanda Ferraton, the wife of WWE star Bill Goldberg. The couple live in Boerne. Also tied to Boerne, Tamara Strait, George Strait’s daughter-in-law would certainly catch viewers’ attention some online said, though, there’s no evidence yet that any of these woman are connected to the show.
