CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — CCISD seniors at Collegiate High School are closing out their high school journey with celebrations, recognition, and a major academic milestone as Decision Day comes to an end. Students, along with their families, gathered for the school’s Senior Farewell event, a final celebration before graduation this summer.
The event served as a sendoff for graduating seniors who have spent years balancing high school coursework with college-level classes. Many students will leave with more than just a diploma.
During the celebration, students were presented with stoles, medals and other academic honors recognizing their achievements throughout their academic careers.
For families. the moment was especially meaningful as parents had the opportunity to present awards directly to their graduating seniors.
“It really did take a lot to get here and to have them both beside me through this big moment was amazing,” one student said.
Parents expressed pride as well, reflecting on their children’s accomplishments and dedication.
“Grateful, extremely grateful. Very proud of him,” one parent said. “I couldn’t be more proud.”
Beyond the celebration, students at Collegiate High School are preparing for a unique graduation milestone. When they cross the stage this summer, they will earn both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree.
School officials say the dual-credit program continues to set students up for success, giving them a strong academic and career head start as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.
