A Highland Park home listed for nearly $25 million was bought in early May in what is likely one of the largest sales in the Dallas-Fort Worth area this year.
The home was first listed for $24.9 million in late March and was sold on May 1, according to Zillow.
The purchase of the Highland Park home, at 4815 St. Johns Drive, was likely one of the largest sales of 2026 given that few other luxury houses in D-FW have higher asking prices. The home was purchased by a trust with an undisclosed owner.
The over 11,400-square-foot mansion includes six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. Allie Beth Allman of Allie Beth Allman & Associates represented the sellers. Damon Williamson of The Agency Dallas worked with the buyers. Williamson said the house is a beautifully designed property.
“The house is backing up to a creek, which is a really rare thing for Highland Park,” Williamson said. “Usually you have houses that are just right there behind you because there’s smaller lots. The downstairs was very large, which is another thing that you don’t get a lot around the Park Cities.”
The home also has separate living areas, a workout room, a study and a pool. Williamson said the outdoor space was stunning and includes a room with sliding doors that opens to the backyard.
The home was sold by Melbourne O’Banion and Jamie O’Banion. Melbourne O’Banion is CEO of the Dallas startup Bestow, which provides technology for life insurance companies. Jamie O’Banion founded the cosmetics company BeautyBio.
The O’Banions sold the home to the Lost River Trust, according to a deed registered with the county on May 5. The final purchase price of the mansion listed for $25 million was not disclosed. The Dallas Central Appraisal District values the property at $11.8 million for tax purposes.
Additionally, the Lost River Trust purchased another Highland Park home several months ago, buying a mansion at 3709 Euclid Ave. in November 2025, according to county records. Williamson declined to disclose the buyer behind the trust.
The home was one of the homes with the highest listing prices. The Crespi Estate, listed for $64 million, continues to be the property with the highest asking price in North Texas.
Other Dallas area mansions with a higher price tag than the home at 4815 St. Johns Drive include a Preston Hollow home listed for nearly $25 million and a Highland Park home listed for nearly $30 million.
