Texas softball was announced as the NCAA Tournament’s second overall seed after winning the SEC Tournament.
So, for the fourth straight year, the Longhorns will be regional hosts at McCombs Field this weekend. The reigning national champions are joined by Wisconsin, Baylor and Wagner. Baylor is the only team that the Longhorns are familiar with this season after beating the Bears in Friday and Saturday, run-rule wins.

If Texas wins its regional for the second straight year, it will stay at home as super regional hosts. The Longhorns have hosted a super regional two times since 2020. The winner of the College Station Regional would make the journey to Austin and if the bracket holds that would be Texas A&M, creating a rematch of the 2023 Austin Super Regional.

This round is double elimination; the team that avoids losing twice will advance to the Austin Super Regional.
