Turn back time and put on your funkiest outfit for the Gimme Gimme Disco party! Join the party with the show kicking off at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15 at the Lowbrow Palace and expect a night full of the grooviest hits of disco fever era!
Glow & Flow A White Salsa Affair – Friday Salsa Social

Get ready for one of the hottest salsa nights of the season with the El Paso Ballroom Dance Academy’s Glow & Flow Salsa Social! From 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday, May 15 at 7220 N. Mesa St., dance the night away in your white outfit with glow gear! First guests to arrive will get free neon glasses while supplies last.
New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum 26th annual Blessing of the Fields

Experience an age-old tradition with the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum’s 26th Annual Blessing of the Fields. From 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15, a colorful procession begins with blessings of animals, plants and acequia. All visitors who come to the museum to participate in the procession will not be charged admission.

Hiking Trails in the Southwest – Picacho Peak

Get your hiking boots on and take on the Picacho Peak Trails! The hike begins at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 15. These guided walks are open to all hikers, beginners and seasoned trekkers. You can register your spot online or in person at the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center.

El Paso Zoo’s Bug Fest

This event will be buzzing with excitement! Join the El Paso Zoo for their Bug Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, where guests can learn about bugs and insects from spiders, scorpions, crickets, to Madagascar hissing cockroaches and much more.
Celebration of Bag Pipes 4

Bel Air High School’s courtyard will transform into a space for a music festival for the 4th annual Celebration of Bagpipes and feature several local bands with bagpipes, including the Highlanders’ own Big Red Pipe Band. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 at 731 N Yarbrough Dr. Proceeds will benefit the John Estes Scholarship Fund.

The Elmont Night Pool Party: DJ Snake

The Elmont Swim club continues its summer pool concert series with DJ Snake! The party kicks off at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 at 240 W Castellano Drive, Suite B. GA tickets start at $68.
MWR Presents: Armed Forces Day Parade

Celebrate the brave men and woman who serve the U.S. military at the Armed Forces Day Parade! The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 at Bliss Smith Field. After the parade, guests can enjoy a full afternoon of family-friendly activities and interactive military experiences.
Mijo-Palooza and Kids Night Vendor Market

The Yard Patio Beer Garden invites the whole family to a fun Saturday night! Take part in Mijo-Palooza, an all age pillow fight event from 4 to 9 p.m. on May 16 at 14261 Montana Ave. All proceeds will be made to the Mijo Foundation that will go towards putting a football camp for children in the El Paso area.
If you don’t want to join the Mijo-Palooza, you can always enjoy the Kids Night Vendor Market, from 5 to 9 p.m., where guests can shop local, support future business owners and enjoy live music by the Whiskey River Boys, from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Laugh the night away with one of El Paso’s OG comedians! Iggy Samaniego, along with JAoe Rodriguez, Josh Ryan, host Sha Rita and special guests with Samaneigo’s Stand Up and Deliver comedy show! The show will be from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 at Wall Street Lounge, 2829 Montana Ave Ste. 200A.

Experience the season finale of the El Paso Community Foundation’s Jewel Box Series with the showing of “An Anansi Experience.” KESSTO Kreatures performs this new immersive piece by Anthony Michael Stokes at 2:30 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 at the Philanthropy Theatre. Experience the story about a traveler and story gather, which combines Griot storytelling with spiritual, musical and puppetry elements.
Plant a Seed presents 5K Run/Walk Race Against Human Trafficking

Lace up your shoes and stride towards a movement against human trafficking with Plant a Seed’s Race against Human Trafficking! The race kicks off at 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 17 at Sunland Park Racetrack. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Paso del Norte Center of Hope that serves as a beacon of light for survivors who have faced unimaginable challenges.
