LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A free community event in Lubbock is helping parents spot possible drug dangers that may be hiding in their teenager’s bedroom.
The program, called “Hidden in Plain Sight,” is hosted by the Prevention Resource Center and Lubbock Public Health. It’s designed for adults who want to learn more about:
Emerging and trending new drugsVaping and e-cigarettesDisguised drug paraphernalia that can blend in with everyday itemsProducts available at local smoke shops
Organizers say the goal is to give parents and caregivers practical tools to recognize warning signs at home and start conversations with their teens before a crisis.
The event will be held on Tuesday, May 19th, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lubbock Public Health Department, 2015 50th Street.
The session is free and open to the public.
