AUSTIN, Texas (KWTX) – Friday, May 8, Austin Police responded to a shooting at a Budget Inn where the suspect fatally shot a man he had been in an argument with.
Austin Police Department Officers say Se Hun, 56, was shot in the chest by Sean Walton, 24, after a verbal argument escalated and Walton pulled out a firearm.
Hun was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday May 14, according to Austin Police reports.
Detectives from the Austin Police Department’s Aggravated Assault and Crime Scene Units processed the scene and determined Walton was the suspect.
Following the crime, Walton fled the scene in a vehicle, was eventually tracked down by police and was arrested Sunday, May 10, by the Cibolo Police Department in Cibolo, Texas.
Walton is currently being help in custody in Guadalupe County, according to Austin Police.
“This case is being investigated as the city of Austin’s 25 homicide of 2026,” Austin Police said.
