Three off-duty Dallas Police Officers were taken to the hospital after a single-engine plane crashed in Kaufman County Saturday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Highway Patrol responded to the plane crash at about 12:21 a.m. in a field near the Southwest Corner of Helms Trail and Akron Way in the city limits of Forney.
The pilot and two passengers were taken to the hospital.
The Dallas Police Department, DPD, confirmed the three off-duty officers were involved in the small plane crash overnight.
“The Forney Police Department, DPS, and the FAA are actively investigating the incident,” said DPD in a statement.
