OLDHAM CO. (KFDA) – Crews are responding to multiple fires int Texas Panhandle.
Blue Diamond Fire in Oldham County
Crews are responding to a grass fire that is prompting evacuations and road closures near the Tascosa Road and US 385 intersection in Oldham County.
Texas A&M Forest Service is responding to a grass fire in Oldham County on the south side of Tascosa Road and east side of US 385 near the intersection.
Officials say Tascosa Road was closed from Bushland Road to US 385 but has since reopened.
This is near Boys Ranch.
Officials say several farmhouses along Tascosa Road are being evacuated and five structures have been threatened.
Officials say forward progression has been stopped but spread potential is still high.
Officials say this fire is estimated to be 750 acres and 50% contained at this time.
Cal Farley’s Boy’s ranch says they are aware of the nearby fire and at this time there is no threat to the students of faculty.
Hungate Fire in Randall County
Randall County Sheriff’s Office was asking residents to avoid the area near 15101 Hungate road due to a grass fire.
Officials say this was a flare-up from the Hungate Fire.
This is near Hungate and Arnot Road.
Officials say the flare-up is contained.
