The Lone Star State is home to a new, Texas-sized dive coaster that is shattering world records.
Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington is debuting Tormenta Rampaging Run – the tallest, fastest, longest, first-and only giga dive coaster (a coaster that is at least 300 feet tall) in the world, according to the theme park’s website. The 300-foot coaster will be located in the area’s new Spanish village, Rancho de la Tormenta.
“As riders ascend to the lift hill’s peak, they are filled with a sense of anticipation before plunging into a record-breaking 95 degree beyond vertical drop, complete with sharp turns and other exhilarating drops that replicate the thrill of the Running of the Bulls,” the website for the ride says.

Tallest Dive Coaster: 309 feet
Highest 95 Degree Beyond Vertical Drop: 285 feet
Fastest Dive Coaster: 87 mph
Highest Immelmann Inversion: 218 feet
Tallest Vertical Coaster Loop: 179 feet
Longest Dive Coaster: 4,199 feet
The official opening date has not been released; however, Six Flags continues to say the coaster will open in 2026.
