Another independent luxury brokerage firm is joining Compass, the nation’s largest real estate brokerage, in Texas.
Bray Real Estate Group announced Friday that it would become part of the Compass banner. A Monday news release from Compass said the change was effective immediately.
Joining Compass is the next chapter for Bray Real Estate Group — one of the larger independent brokerages by agent count in Texas ahead of the agreement — as it looks to the future of real estate in the state, said Chase Bray, founder of the group, in the news release from Compass.
“Our success has always been built on providing our agents and clients with the very best, and by leveraging the Compass technology platform and programs like Compass 3-Phased-Marketing, we are positioned to scale our business to heights that were previously unreachable,” Chase Bray said.
In the news release, Chase Bray said he and Melanie Bray, his wife and business partner, are thrilled to partner with a company that values innovation.
Because of the changing real estate market, partnering with a larger company like Compass was a no-brainer, Chase Bray said in an interview.
The move ensures that Bray Real Estate Group | Compass agents are equipped with resources to drive efficiency and deliver better results, according to the Compass news release. Bray said he will be the principal of the firm.
Bray Real Estate Group was established in 2018 and had a sales volume of more than $475 million in 2025, according to Compass. Bray said the firm specializes in luxury real estate sales.
Bray Real Estate’s offices in D-FW, Austin, Houston and some operations in Corpus Christi will be under the combined Bray Real Estate Group | Compass banner, Bray said. Operations in other locations will no longer be part of Bray Real Estate Group.
Over 100 agents from the Bray team will be integrated into Compass as part of the agreement. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Following the Rogers Healy agreement, Bryan Pacholski, senior managing director of Compass DFW, said the New York-based firm Compass opened in D-FW in 2018 and has grown to include over 1,250 licensed real estate agents.
Bray Real Estate Group has an impressive track record in D-FW and Austin, said Gabe Richter, Compass Texas regional vice president.
“Texas is a vital market for Compass, and bringing in a team of this caliber allows us to further our mission of helping everyone find their place in the world through the power of our platform and our people,” Richter said.
