AEP crews work to restore electricity Tuesday morning as storms move across the Coastal Bend.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — More than 10,000 residents across the Coastal Bend were still without power Tuesday morning as storms continued moving out of the area, according to the AEP Texas outage map.
As of 6 a.m., outages were impacting several counties across the region. Nueces County reported 3,321 customers without power, while Aransas County reported 3,014 outages. San Patricio County continued to see 2,238 affected residents, and Refugio County reported 1,502 outages.

AEP said estimated restoration times now range between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., though times may vary by location as crews continue working to restore service.
The outages came after overnight storms moved east across the Coastal Bend, bringing heavy rain, lightning and strong winds to parts of the region.
Drivers are urged to remain cautious on roadways on Tuesday morning, as some areas may still have slick conditions and isolated debris left by the storms.
