LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Police are investigating after the Lubbock Meals on Wheels building was vandalized early Sunday morning.
Lubbock Meals on Wheels says a large window was shattered along with damage to another window and metal siding. Police responded between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. when the organization’s security system activated.
The nonprofit says its building was not the only one targeted on 34th Street.
Since Lubbock Meals on Wheels is not government funded or a United Way agency, costly repairs due to vandalism impact its limited budget.
The organization is receiving video footage of the incident. Meanwhile, anyone with information related to the vandalism is asked to contact the Lubbock Police Department.
