LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock man Justin Ables, 53, was arrested on Thursday, May 14 on one count of Possession of Child Porn following a cyber tip by the NCMEC.
According to an affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) sent a tip containing child sex abuse material linked to Justin Ables through his Google account to the Lubbock Police Department for investigation. It was advised that 472 files were downloaded.
An administrative subpoena was sent to an internet provider with the provided IP address linked to a residence in the 6600 block of 2nd Street. Further investigation revealed that Ables resided in the home. A search warrant was also submitted for Ables’ account the files received contained the abuse material that was linked to the original tip.

Later, a residential search warrant was generated for the residence, and during the search, anime child sex abuse material was located on Able’s computer that investigations revealed he had sole access to.
According to official documents, an interview with Ables revealed that he confirmed viewing the anime abuse material when he is heavily intoxicated. Based on the investigation, Ables was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Child Porn.
Ables is currently in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
