If asked to prove you were from San Antonio, what would you say?

A new game show centered around the Alamo City put that to the test. The 210 Game Show, created by lifelong resident Alyssa Morse, officially launched on YouTube this month and has been turning heads on social media. Morse, who graduated last year from Northwest Vista College, told MySA the concept of the show comes from her love of animation, art, film, editing and community. “Since I’m from San Antonio, I wanted to create something that could be like a fun community experience, and it just all came together,” she said.

The idea first came to her in June 2025 and spiraled into a real show after she built the concept with her friends. Filming began in August for some trial episodes Morse calls “season zero,” which dropped in November 2025: a San Antonio Pictionary episode, an Alamo City cooking competition and more. The 210 Game Show officially premiered on May 13 with an episode titled, “5 San Antonians VS 1 Californian” in which Morse and her friends attempt to find out who’s really from San Antonio and who’s secretly from the Golden State.

“We would ask stuff like a favorite childhood memory, and some people from San Antonio would have a very particular San Antonio memory,” she said. “We also had a test of asking people to pronounce different streets and roads here in San Antonio, which we felt that that would maybe get a Californian. For our final test, we asked people how to pronounce ‘Hola, my name is Carmen’ from the old San Antonio radio show [on 98.5 The Beat], and so that one was funny as well.”

Morse says her goal for the show is to build the YouTube channel with consistency, eventually shooting episodes at different businesses or events and even hosting live game nights to bring the community together. Being born and raised in the 210, Morse said her goal was to use her talents to add something to a city with lots of “potential.”

“San Antonio has a very special culture,” she said. “I think it’s very family-based, but it’s also very artistic and lively with the whole Fiesta element to it … it’s the seventh biggest city in the United States. It doesn’t necessarily always feel like that, but I feel like for some reason the city’s economy, in a way, is not at its … highest potential as other cities. We have lower incomes in San Antonio, but I feel like there’s a lot of potential for businesses to be able to work together and … create a stronger foundation in the city.”
