An interstate in San Antonio is partially shut down on Monday, May 20, after a major crash. It’s unclear what caused the collision, but storms rolled through the area overnight.
A vehicle overturned on the westbound lanes of I-10 around 7:54 a.m., and drivers are still feeling the delays, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The two left lanes at TX-13-Loop and W.W. White Road are closed. Commuters are snailing along the roadways, with most moving between 5 and 14 mph. Only the two right lanes are open for traffic, so folks are backed up to Foster Road (roughly three exits).
The traffic monitoring site SigAlert states that delays could last up to an hour. TxDOT cameras show police at the scene. There is no word on when the lanes will reopen or if anyone was injured in the crash.
