LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – While rain chances aren’t disappearing completely for the holiday weekend ahead, I think our best chances for the most rain will be today, tonight and Thursday with lingering precipitation possible over the next several days.
TODAY
Temperatures will continue to slide from the highs of the 90s from this past weekend. High temps this afternoon top out close to 70 degrees. Cloud cover will be pretty dominant which is a big factor as far as why we’re seeing cooler temperatures.

Rain chances will be sporadic but mostly this afternoon/evening in the form of scattered to isolated showers and storms. Not everyone will see rain today.
