HOUSTON — A Miami- and Bogota, Colombia-based coffee shop chain is coming to Houston as part of a Texas expansion.

Qargo Coffee said it has signed franchise agreements for 13 coffee shops in H-Town and three have signed leases.

The first is planned for the Shops at Deerbrook retail center at 8910 FM 1960 Bypass Road West in the Humble area. Qargo said the opening is expected in the next six months.

The company describes its mission as fusing “Italian tradition with the American pace of life.” The menu includes not just coffee drinks but also boba tea, smoothies, ice cream, desserts, and breakfast and lunch items.

“Houston’s energy, diversity, and love for premium coffee make it the perfect home for our next wave of openings,” Qargo Coffee President Bernadette Bastorous said in a statement.
