EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 53-year-old man, who was wanted on multiple felony bond violations, was arrested on Thursday, May 21, in El Paso’s Lower Valley, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office for Precinct Three.

Jaime Olazaba was wanted on outstanding charges of possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a total bond set at $101,000.

According to the Constable’s Office, the original charges stemmed from an El Paso Police Department arrest on July 11, 2025, after Olazaba had been placed under PR bond supervision.

However, Olazaba was arrested again on April 29, 2026 for a separate charge of possession of a controlled substance.

“This subsequent arrest directly triggered the revocation of Olazaba’s PR bonds and prompted the issuance of the arrest warrants,” the Constable’s Office said.

With assistance from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, deputies tracked down and apprehended Olazaba at the 7900 block of Gateway East.

“Our close collaboration with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is vital to taking individuals with outstanding criminal charges off our streets,” Constable Hector Bernal said. “This joint operation highlights the mutual cooperation between both offices as we work together to improve the overall safety of our community.”
