AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC) – The top two seeds in the Section 1A Softball Tournament remained in the championship bracket with wins on Thursday.
No. 1 seed Houston continued its undefeated season, beating No. 5 seed Wabasha-Kellogg, 8-1.
No. 2 seed Southland scored all six of their runs in the sixth inning, rallying to beat No. 3 seed Lewiston-Altura, 6-2.
The Hurricanes and Rebels will meet on Monday with a spot in the Section 1A Championship game on the line. The loser will fall to the elimination bracket.
Lewiston-Altura and Wabasha-Kellogg kept their season alive with elimination bracket wins later in the day. L-A beat WEM 4-1, while Wabasha-Kellogg beat Mabel-Canton, 13-6. The Cardinals and Falcons will meet on Monday.
