LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Non-severe showers and storms yesterday gave a good chunk of the area a good soaking.

That will be followed by more chances of rain today and that trend continues into the weekend and early next week.
TODAY
Warmer with more chances of rain! High temperatures jump back into the mid to upper 70s this afternoon.
Pleasant and balmy with chances of rain later today(Dylan Smith)
Rain chances will crop back up throughout the morning and into the afternoon and evening hours. We’ve got a 40% chance of showers and storms today.
TONIGHT
Rain chances let up as overnight lows stay fairly mild in the 50s again.
FRIDAY
We’ve got another significant warm up in store as we look towards the end of the week.
A rapid rebound in temperatures is in store as we stabilize in the 80s for most of the next 7 days(Dylan Smith)
High temperatures will climb to the mid to upper 80s. I’m throwing a small chance in for a few showers and storms to develop in the afternoon hours.

It’s consistently inconsistent over the next several days. High temperatures will hover in the 80s for most of the next 7 days.

The inconsistent part are the rain chances from day-to-day. It’s looking more and more likely that next Tuesday will be another good shot of rain, but we’ve got light, daily isolated rain chances in store for the foreseeable future.
