The Spurs head back to San Antonio with the Western Conference Finals tied 1-1 after falling to the Thunder 122-113 in Game 2. After a tight first quarter that ended 31-31, Oklahoma City created separation before halftime and held off every Spurs push the rest of the way. Victor Wembanyama came back to earth a bit after his Game 1 masterpiece, finishing with 21 points and 17 rebounds, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 30 points.
Even with the Game 2 loss, San Antonio accomplished the mission on the road by stealing home-court advantage in Oklahoma City. Now the series shifts to Frost Bank Center, where the Spurs have a chance to take control in front of their home crowd. With San Antonio entering as a slight 1.5-point favorite, Game 3 is expected to be another classic between two of the best teams in the league.
