Dutch supporters will march through Arlington ahead of the Netherlands’ opening World Cup match
North Texas is about to host one of the most recognizable traditions in international soccer. Ahead of the Netherlands national team’s opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2026, thousands of Dutch supporters are expected to gather in Arlington on June 14 for the first official Orange Fanwalk of the tournament.
The event will begin near Choctaw Stadium before fans march together toward AT&T Stadium ahead of the Netherlands’ matchup against Japan.
A Globally Recognized World Cup Tradition
Orange Fanwalks have become one of the defining traditions surrounding Dutch international soccer, known for massive crowds dressed head-to-toe in orange while marching together toward stadiums before matches.
This year’s event in Arlington marks the first Orange Fanwalk of the entire FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament.
Fans will gather beginning at 10 a.m. local time at the intersection of Road to Six Flags Street and Ballpark Way near Choctaw Stadium. Entertainment leading up to the march will include performances by the Orange Fan Team featuring Yuki, FeestDJRuud and Yves Berendse.
The procession officially begins at 11:15 a.m. and will be led by the famous Orange Bus, which recently arrived in Texas after crossing the Atlantic Ocean.
North Texas Continues Building Momentum For The World Cup
The event adds to the growing list of FIFA World Cup activities and international team connections already taking shape across North Texas ahead of the 2026 tournament.
The region has continued securing training sites, international team partnerships and infrastructure investments as preparations ramp up across Dallas, Arlington and Frisco. North Texas has already secured millions in funding tied to World Cup preparations, while cities across the region continue positioning themselves as major hubs for international visitors and fan experiences.
Ticket demand has also intensified as fans prepare for matches in Arlington, where some hospitality and premium ticket opportunities remain available ahead of the tournament.
International teams have also started selecting training locations throughout the region, including Frisco, which will host Sweden as its World Cup base camp destination.
A Major Moment For Arlington And Dallas
Monica Paul, president of the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee, said the event highlights the energy and international atmosphere the region hopes to create throughout the tournament.
“Dallas and Arlington are proud to serve as the stage for the very first Orange Fanwalk of this World Cup,” Paul said. “The passion and energy of the Dutch fans are legendary around the world, and we cannot wait to welcome that experience to our region. This is going to be a day to remember.”
The Fanwalk route itself will move through one of the country’s largest sports entertainment districts, surrounded by iconic venues tied to both professional football and baseball.
For many soccer supporters, the Orange Fanwalks are as much about culture and atmosphere as the matches themselves.
