A man was killed and a woman was injured Friday in a possible electrocution at a home near Fort Worth, according to a news release from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s office.
Shortly after 1 p.m., deputies from the sheriff’s office were dispatched to the 9100 block of Benview Court for a possible electrocution, the release said. On arriving, deputies found a man and a woman came in contact with a power source in the backyard of a home.
Both were taken to a local hospital, where the man was pronounced dead, according to authorities. The woman is recovering from minor injuries. Their identities were not released.
The sheriff’s office said Oncor has shut off the power to the property and authorities are investigating the incident.
