A fast-growing modern furniture brand known for blending luxury design with real-life durability is preparing to open its newest North Texas showroom in Plano.

7th Avenue will open a new experiential showroom at Legacy West in July 2026, expanding the company’s footprint across the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

The Plano showroom will join the company’s existing North Texas locations in Dallas’ West Village and Southlake.

Why Plano And Legacy West Made Sense

According to 7th Avenue Co-Founder and COO Josh Stinson, the company saw growing interest from customers across North Texas, making Plano a natural next step for expansion.

“The DFW region is incredible,” Stinson told Local Profile. “We currently have two showrooms in the market, West Village and Southlake, and they have seen growing demand from the North Texas customer.”

He added that Legacy West aligned closely with the type of shopping environment the brand looks for.

“Legacy West embodies the type of center where our customers want to shop, surrounded by industry-leading brands in a premium walkable environment,” he said.

A Different Type Of Furniture Showroom

Rather than operating like a traditional furniture store, 7th Avenue’s showrooms are designed around a more guided and personalized experience.

Customers can either walk in or book appointments with dedicated design consultants who help them build sofa configurations, select seating depth and choose fabrics tailored to their lifestyle.

“This isn’t your traditional furniture store where you’re stuck wandering a giant sales floor looking for someone to help you,” Stinson said.

Appointments typically last about 30 minutes and even include live spill demonstrations showcasing the brand’s performance fabrics.

“At the end, you’ll walk out knowing exactly what you’re getting and why it works for your home,” he said.

Built For Real Life

7th Avenue has positioned itself around furniture designed to balance aesthetics with durability, particularly for households with children or pets.

The company’s modular sofas feature removable, machine-washable covers along with water-repellant, stain-resistant and PFAS-free fabrics.

“We built 7th Avenue because we kept hearing the same thing from people,” Stinson said. “They wanted something beautiful, but they also wanted something that could hold up to real life.”

He said many consumers have historically felt forced to choose between stylish furniture and practical furniture.

“We eliminated that trade-off,” he said. “You can have the white sofa, and you don’t need to panic when your kid drops a juice box on it.”

Why Modular And Pet-Friendly Furniture Is Booming

As more homeowners prioritize flexibility, durability and long-term value, modular furniture concepts have gained significant traction.

Stinson says the shift reflects changing lifestyles and rising expectations around home design.

“People are tired of compromising,” he said. “What’s changed is that people now know they don’t have to pick between beautiful and practical sofas.”

The company says its furniture is designed specifically for real homes and evolving family needs, allowing customers to expand or rearrange configurations over time.

What Plano Shoppers Can Expect

One collection the company is especially excited to introduce to Plano customers is its Performance Velvet line.

“We are extremely proud of our Performance Velvet collection,” Stinson said. “It has an elevated, luxurious feel that is incredibly soft, but with all the same performance features as our other fabrics.”

The Plano showroom will also feature the company’s outdoor living collection, which Stinson believes will resonate strongly with North Texas homeowners.

“Every showroom reflects the community it’s in, and Plano is no exception,” he said. “Our furniture is built for real homes with real families and real life.”
