LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The City of Wolfforth is implementing new safety measures to protect against fraud when paying utility bills.
Starting June 15, customers will be required to validate their ZIP code when making any online transaction through the city’s website.
The ZIP code will need to match the billing ZIP code on the customer’s credit or debit card. If the numbers do not match, the transaction may be declined.
Customers can check that their information is correct in their online payment portal.
Other payment methods will not be affected.
