A storm system which brought heavy rain and powerful gusts to southeast Texas produced a waterspout on Saturday, May 23.
Neil Davis said he captured the whirling column off Pleasure Pier in Galveston at 11:38 am, where the National Weather Service (NWS) had issued a Special Marine Warning, though according to the service no waterspout was expected.
