LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Ropes Eagles are this week’s Extra Innings Team of the Week after defeating Gruver 2-0 & 4-3 to clinch the 2A Division II Regional Championship.
The Eagles used a couple of great pitching performances to knock off Gruver in the Regional Finals and have now now made it two rounds further than they went last season.
Under first year head coach Nathan Flores, the team has won nine games in a row. They are peaking at the right point of the season and boast an overall record up to this point of (30-5)
Up next, the Ropes Eagles get ready for the 2A Division II UIL Semifinals as they are set to take on Collinsville, a team that is fresh off of a series win over Muenster in the Regional Finals.
